Stitch Fix Style

As you saw earlier this week, I received a pretty fun Stitch Fix box. I paired the two pieces I kept from some Versona pieces I had as well, and love the outfit I was able to put together!

We’re also nearing spring, so we are close to the “transition” time between seasons. I love that I was able to add some pastels to the dark navy color to create a look that works for both winter, and spring!

Stitch Fix – Take Two

It’s always a good day when a Stitch Fix box arrives! After two “fixes” that didn’t go so great, I was excited to open this box and see some really cute items.

My “fix” included five items: 1 dress, 1 pair of pants, 1 jacket, 1 blouse, and 1 scarf. As well as an adorable, personalized note from, Margaux the stylist who picked my fix. (Thank you, Margaux!)

Below I give you the run down of each piece, what I kept, and what went back.

The Margaret M “Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant” that came in the box, I paired with the 41Hawthorn “Breyson Pleated Tab-Sleeve Blouse” that also came in the box.

The pants fit well around the waist and leg. hHwever the print was not my thing and where they hit on my ankle didn’t look right. Sadly, they went back in the box.

I then tried the 41Hawthorn blouse with items from my own closet. I rolled one sleeve and left the other down to see how it could be work both ways.

The fabric is really good quality and I like the longer fit in the torso. This piece went right into my closet.

I love that my stylist caught on that I love leopard print, and sent this great Octavia “Moni Two-Tone Leopard Print Scarf”! Yep, it was put in my closet as well.

One piece I was kind of bummed about was the Skies are Blue “Terese Quilted Faux Leather Jacket”. I loved how edgy and different this piece was, it was sadly a little on the small side. It went back in the box.

The last piece I tried on was the Brixon Ivy “Roana Dress”. The tag said M, I think it should have said S or XS. It was an adorable piece, and I could have done a lot with it, sadly, I could barely get it on, let alone zipped. So yes, this went back into the box as well.
I am really happy about the new blouse and scarf I was able to add to my closet without even leaving my house!

Proper Mixing

A few weeks ago I posted about being careful with mixing prints, as it can throw an outfit off and be too much if not done right. This outfit is a great example of mixing prints, without going overboard.

Yes, I’m wearing the blanket scarf, again. I’ll be getting my use out of it before the season is up!

Dark Side Smoothie

We all love a good smoothie, and we all love a good smoothie with chocolate.

I created and whipped this bad boy up after spin class a couple weeks ago, and will definitely be doing it again.

The peanut butter is protein packed, and the powder is super low in calories, is made with half all natural chocolate, and only has .5 grams of fat.

It’s good to feel bad, huh? Thankful we aren’t being bad, we are giving our body what it needs post workout. 💪

Ingredients

Jif All Natural Peanut Butter, Creamy

Hershey’s Special Dark Powder

Milk

Crushed Ice

I use a Ninja Blender that has the singke serve blending cup, as well as the regular blender.

Using a single serve cup, fill it about half way with crushed ice.

Place two large spoonfuls of peanut butter and 1tbls of Special Dark in over the ice.

Top off with your choice of milk, I start off with filling just over half full.

Screw blade onto cup and begin blending. If the smoothie is too think, add more milk to get it to a smoother consistency.

One fully blended (I blend until I have a smooth, complete “vortex” in the cup), pour into glass, or drink right from the single serve cup, and enjoy!

Now remember, we are using DARK chocolate, don’t expect it to be sweet like a shake, but it isn’t bitter either. The peanut butter adds a little sweetness, but I just wanted to to know ahead of time, we are on the Dark Side after all.

If you try this out, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Or hit me up on social media! (Click here to go to my contact page.)

Fashion Tip Friday

Happy Fashion Tip Friday!!

I honestly cannot say how much this bugs me.

Ladies, just because the “trend” is the big, thick, high arched brow, doesn’t mean we all have them.

Fill in your normal brow shape, don’t use a gel or pencil to draw larger ones on, it looks really unnatural.

Be you, because you are beautiful! 💋

Classic Style – Take Two

Last October I shared a great outfit that I said could be worn different ways, and changed up for each season. The original look can be found here.

I love pieces that I can change up each season with various accesories to keep it looking fresh.

This is an easy outfit to put together and will look good for many years to come.
