The Walking Dead – Season 6 Predictions

This is not a drill! I repeat, this is NOT a drill!! The Walking Dead returns tonight on AMC!

As I said, I would have some predictions on what and who I think will go down. Before going on, be warned that this is full of spoilers.

Are those that don’t want spoilers or predictions gone?

Yes? Okay, here we go.

Season 5 had our group arriving at a large, seemingly safe community, Alexandria. I remember calling it early on when previews came on and it wouldn’t show much, “They’re going to end up somewhere and get cleaned up.” (It’s fun when I get it right.)

They arrived and met with the “leader” of the community. I know Abraham, “Who’s Deanna?!”

They quickly take places in the town, and others start to notice they are all good leaders in their fields.

We see, however, the struggles they have. Sasha has lost Tyrese (and it nearly ends her), Daryl feels a bit out of place (or like a trapped cat), Carol is hiding her true self (you’re such a badass), and Rick is well…Rick.

We see Glenn have some major issues with some of the other runners in the town, causing each group to lose a member. (Ooh Noah, you went too soon.)

Maggie trying to keep the peace after Father Gabriel tries to turn Deanna on Rick and the group.

Abraham takes the lead on a construction site, and Eugene totally steps up to save Tara.

It all ends with Morgan arriving in town to find Rick having just killed “porch dick”, er…I mean Pete, at the request of Deanna who is laying over the body of her husband, Reg. (Whom Pete had accidentally killed in a drunken rage.)

We’re also shown the “Wolves Not Far” sign, which is some serious foreshadowing to who is going to cause problems heading into Season 6.

So, what do we think will happen this season? Here are some thoughts I have had:

I think, sadly, that it is Sasha’s season to go. She tried giving herself up, telling the Walkers to “come get her”, and even laying in a pile of walker corpses. I feel like she’ll turn everything around and want to live, and that’s when it’ll happen. Whether it is by Walkers or Wolves, that I am not sure. Could be a mix of the two.

Nicholas or “Nicky”. He was responsible for the death of Noah, and tried to leave Glenn for dead in the woods. He HAS to go. I also wonder if he doesn’t turn on the Alexandria group and tries to join the Wolves. Which if that happens, I can see them using him to get closer, or into Alexandria, then “taking care of him”.

Father Gabriel. He’s been around long enough, we all know what he did. He’s going to go. Has to happen, I’m mad at him.

The Wolves, they are going to try to take Alexandria, I think we all know that is going to happen. Whether they are successful or not, I’m unsure. Will our group end up on the run again?

Deanna and Rick are going to become closer as leaders, but Rick is going to be too aggressive, and Morgan is going to have to intervene. I think it is likely that Michonne will have to assist with this area.

I hope that Aaron makes it through the season, but he also might be a casualty of this season’s “excitement”.

Carol will probably have to take off this fake housewife mask she is wearing and show what a huge badass she is.

I feel like Abraham and Eugene will make it through this season, and I go back and forth on Tara. She’s recovering from being injured on a run, and I think Eugene will try to keep her safe. If he fails, he will take this as a huge personal hit.

Jessie and her sons, hmm…I wonder if something doesn’t happen to them, I feel like I don’t have predictions on them just yet.

I think both Michonne and Daryl will make it through the season. This could also just be my hope because I like them both a lot.

Carl will be fine, but I think his girlfriend, Enid won’t be. Judith will make it through, mostly because even as dark and twisted as this show is, I don’t think they’re going to do anything to her.

Maggie and Glenn. Ugh, I don’t want to talk about them. There has been so much speculation as to whether or not Negan arrives this season. I’m so concerned about this possibly. I think it happens, and I think we say goodbye to Glenn. My friend Peggy added to it though, she thinks Maggie finds out she is pregnant before it happens. Ouch, our hearts.

What thoughts do you have?! I’d love to hear them!

And tune in tonight to see the premier of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Let’s Talk – The Walking Dead

AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead, ooh Walking Dead. (TWD for the rest of the article.) I’m hooked, so hooked, but was I always? No.
Let me take you on a journey of how this show became my (and my husband’s) Sunday night “must have fix”. Note, “spoilers” ahead if you are still getting into the show.

I can fully admit that when this show was first getting ready to premier, I would change the channel or go hide under my bed until the previews were all gone. (Eek! Scary!)

Zombies, excuse me, Walkers, really freak me out. Vampires? Werewolves? Mummies? Nope, don’t bother me. Walkers? No thanks, I should just pass out now.

I, however, struggle with an “illness” that probably doesn’t have a name, but it deals with an over active “curiosity gland”. (That’s what I’ll call it, just play along. I’m sure Doc McStuffins would be able to diagnose me if I could get into her clinic to be checked out.) Anywho, yes, I get curious. What’s worse than being curious? Being curious and having a Peggy.

If you don’t have a “Peggy”, I suggest you get one, my Peggy is great!

Peggy has watched TWD from the start, and you guys, she is a FAN! She loves talking about it too. She never once told me, “Just watch the show!” when my curiosity gland got out control and something made me peek from under the bed. I always knew I could message her and ask about the show. She would happily, and fully explain.

Then it slowly started pouring over into Pinterest. I’d sign in and see a TWD meme and think, “Peggy would like that!” So I would send it to her. You all know how Pinterest works, right? If you send something, they have these algorithms that use their Spidey-Senses and think, “Oh she sent that pin! Let’s show her more!”

Basically, my Pinterest got to the point where I was seeing TWD pins ALL the time. This is how I learned character names, and various story lines.

Then, one fateful day, I was left to my own devices while my daughter and husband napped. This is a very dangerous thing, the curiosity gland REALLY gets wild. It happened to be a Sunday. The Sunday of the Season 4 Finale.

There it was on my guide, the TWD marathon. “Still”, Episode 12 of Season 4 was just starting, I select it. Just Daryl & Beth in the woods, drinking moonshine in a cabin. Not bad, okay, I’ll watch the next. “Alone”, ooh starts off a bit intense with them fending off walkers in the fog, but I don’t hide under the bed. “The Grove” starts, just Carol, Tyrese and three girls trying to make it.

This episode “turns” fast. (Get it? “Turns”?) At this point my husband, Mark, has joined me, and I’m pretty sure these were my thoughts:

“What?! Why? Why is that girl playing with a walker?!”

“No! What! This little weirdo is feeding it?! Oh shiz, run! Run! They’re coming after you!”

“HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!! That freak killed her sister! WTF AM I WATCHING?!”

“What’s Carol doing? 😳 Ooooh Lordy, she told her to look the flowers.”

After sitting there in silence for a few minutes, Mark asked. “What the hell did we just watch?!” I think I answered, “I don’t know….but I’m never watching this show again.” Oh how wrong I was.

Flash forward to October 2014. Mark had accepted a new job and we were moving out of state. Now remember I said I had a Peggy? Yeah, I also have a Dad. He also LOVES this show and loves talking about it. He helped me pack my house.

This show was pretty much all we talked about on our “pack days”; which looking back, always seemed to be right after a Sunday. This further confirms that he and Peggy were somehow in cahoots with each other.

The moving truck pulled out in early November, I still had three weeks left in Oregon. My daughter and I checked into the good ol’ “Mom n Dad: Bed n Breakfast” (aka, my parents house), and I prepared for Sunday nights.

I survived through Season 5’s “Self-Help”, “Consumed” and “Crossed”. Then the mid-season finale aired the night Mark, our daughter, and I went wheels up out of Oregon heading to our new residence.

I found myself at the airport trying to get the episode to steam on my phone, and couldn’t.

Wait, what’s happening?

The next night I grabbed the iPad and got all signed into the AMC website and was able to get “Coda”. Oh yay! I can watch the mid-season finale!!! What? Did I just…seriously, what is going on?!

Oh. My. Gosh.

It happened. I wanted more. I sat crying and alone on my couch at the end of “Coda”. “Not Beth! Why Beth?? What’s going to happen now?!” I tried to let it go, tried to forget, but I couldn’t. It just wouldn’t stop poking my curiosity gland.

Mid-December: *Ding* Oh, message from Dad. “TWD Marathon, all seasons from the beginning, starts New Years.”

He knew you guys! He knew!!!! I immediately set our DVR, and we had them all. Every gory, scary, crazy, walker filled episode. We got them all watched, just in time for the February premier. It was glorious.

True that sometimes it still freaks me out, but not as bad. I finally understand why Carol had to tell Lizzie to “look at the flowers”, how Abraham, Eugene (and Eugene’s awesome mullet) came to be the with the group) and that I am big time Team Daryl/Carol!

I’m glad I have a Dad and a Peggy. They help me try new things. Thank you Dad and Peggy, thank you.

Now is it October 11th yet? Someone pass me some of Carol’s cookies while I wait. Maybe I’ll just do some stuff…and thangs to help me pass the time.
PS- Unless it has changed, the ringtone for me on my Dad’s phone is the opening theme for the show. Boom.

Guest Post – Big Brother

There are many reasons to love summer. Warm days, longer nights, ice cream, the general feel of a more relaxed time, and the return of reality TV show: Big Brother.

This show started many seasons ago on CBS, and I not only enjoy it for the entertainment factor, but because I know my dear friend, Peggy, will be watching as well. We greatly enjoy spending the summer chatting about episodes, competitions, and of course, spoilers!

I am so touched that she decided to guest post this week and share why she loves the show:

My name is Peggy and I am a Big Brother-holic.

I have not always been a BBHolic. I, once, enjoyed a full, busy, summer season outside and with others.

I remember my first episode. It was early in the 4th season. That’s right. Fourth. It is now the 17th season. That’s 12 years (12 summers and one magical winter {thank you, writer’s strike ’07/’08!}.) of being hopelessly addicted to Big Brother.

I’m not even sure how I ended up on that channel that fateful summer evening but I was hooked immediately. I mean, really, how could I not be? Who were these people? What did I miss? Seemingly one of these “houseguests” aka HG’s was just kicked out. Like, scandalously KICKED OUT. Not the normal weekly eviction kind that was apparently scheduled to happen later that week. Oh, yeah. Later that week because BB doesn’t mess around. It’s on THREE times every week all summer long! AND! And there are cameras that are filming the entire time the HG’s are residing in there. Meaning this program truly is live and REALLY “reality”. You can, actually, pay CBS to watch these cameras 24/7! All access, baby! That’s right! If I so choose I can pay to watch neurotic and narcissistic people eat, sleep, compete, argue, make out, drink, drank, drunk and repeat!

But I digress.

Season 4. Violent outburst. Houseguest kicked out. SCANDAL!

Girls are bffs. Boys are best bros.Secretly the girls and boys used to date outside of the house. (They all think they have this secret advantage.) Wait. WHAT?!? Jun and Jee used to date?? NO!! Erika and Robert?? I don’t believe it!

I. am. hooked.

Season 5 is even better! Project DNA: Do Not Assume. Oh, please! Tell me MORE!

There are actually twins playing as one HG this season. The sisters secretly swap locations (one is segregated completely while the other is in the house playing the game) until a predesignated week when they both get to enter the house and play the game together and individually. They fool EVERYONE. Also, there are biological siblings in the house. The catch? They don’t know this because daddy never told them about each other! DELICIOUS!

Season 6 was juicy. Some of my personal favorite HG’s (I’m looking at you Janelle and Howie!) were this season. Honestly, the whole group was smart and competitive and I have trouble picking one out. I would like to point out that this is the group that caused the change in the free flowing booze option. I suspect you can imagine how good the drama was to illicit this particular change!

Season 7 was All-Stars. I mean, how perfect is that?? The best of the best and the most dramatic of the dramatic all back in the house. Together!

Dr. Will and, his “Chill Town” partner, Mike “Boogie” dominated All-Stars. Apparently, they owned season 2, also, and played the game exactly the same way all over again. (I’m still sad that I missed that season.) All-Stars is, obviously, THE. BEST.

(Dr. Will and Mike “Boogie”, “Chill Town”)

The next few seasons aren’t particularly noteworthy. Well, if you consider bikini baristas, estranged father/daughter duos, real born relationships (we’re talking eventual marriage and babies, here) and porn stars as “not noteworthy”, anyways.

So, now, here we are at season 17. This was a rough start. We’re beginning week 7 right now and the game is finally picking up. Of the, record setting, 17 HG’s I believe that there are MAYBE half a dozen game players in the house. It’s been frustrating watching a power couple (awww aren’t they cute being all cuddly?!?! GAG!) not play the game and still continue to run the house. Week 6 changed up the dynamic a bit and I’m finally curious about the eventual outcome of the game. As of now, I believe, that the professional poker player has this game in the bag. I kinda hope not, though. I have a weird crush on the Bobcat Goldthwait sounding dentist. Don’t judge. He’s great and I think he’s playing the game intentionally and smartly. There are others that are starting to peak my interest, too. I guess this season isn’t a total wash.

Is it Sunday, yet?

Bachelorette – Fantasy Suites

Here we go again Bachelorette Fans, let’s just jump right into this week’s “fun”.

We return back to Shawn confronting Nick about being….Nick. Oh, I mean, he says he is manipulative, arrogant, and cocky. He says that if Kaitlyn ends up with Nick at the end, he’s fine with that because that means they weren’t mean to be.

Nick tried to throw back the whole “eskimo brother” issue. (For those who don’t know what “eskimo brother” means, it’s the ridiculous term used for guys who have slept with the same girl. The term can be used for females as well, you use sisters instead.)

The alleged situation Nick is trying to bring up, is he thinks Shawn was “bragging” about bring that with a country singer. Shawn says he wasn’t bragging, and the conversation basically just ends. (You know I’ll only cover important things.)

Ben will be having his date with Kaitlyn, she says he is, “Ridiculously hot.” And I am pretty sure that’s all she thinks/cares about. She also says that he can tell he isn’t a player, and I am wondering if he thinks this of her. (Keep in mind he doesn’t know she slepted with Nick.)

The two go on a horse back ride, and Ben asks his horse to make a good impression. I think the horse has better chance at finding love on this date.

They feed some donkeys and then have to drop the bucket and run when the donkey’s won’t leave them alone. They saddle back up and ride over to a picnic next to a lake that looks on to a castle. (Again, I’m pretty sure there is only alcohol in the basket.)

Ben says that he gets more am excited to see her, and is getting more comfortable. He also shares that he is falling in love with her. Basically, he says he wants to dive in and start a life with her.

That night they have “dinner” at the castle. (I’m pretty sure at this point that the food on the table is fake.) Ben recounts their time together in a toast. He is excited about this experience with her, and also shares that he had his 26th birthday during the show. Kaitlyn is older, and he doesn’t think of it as an issue.

She says that he is a sweet and mature person, but doesn’t tell him about Nick. They both think that time together gets better every time. Ben says that she is always happen, she says it is because of him.

She hands him “the card”, and says that spending the night is a big step in a relationship. She wants him to be 110% sure. (110…..really? Let’s just not.)

He comments that he hates the other guys in this, but love spending time with her, and she is someone he can see himself with. He is excited about the fantasy suite and says, “Best sleep over ever!”

Kaitlyn says her feelings for Ben are getting stronger.

They liked waking up together in the morning, they had a fun night, and she didn’t want to say goodbye to him. She also says that she didn’t expect to fall in love with him. (She says this in a way that hints at maybe she was hoping for something to go wrong so it would be easier to send him home.)

Shawn arrives for his date with Kaitlyn, and is presented with a present. He opens it to find a bright pink polo shirt, like you guys, this is PINK! (So naturally, I like it.) They will be golfing, abs he is very excited about it.

The polo gets paired with bright royal blue pants. Stop, I love these colors together. Such great styling.

Shawn wants to make a bet before they play. Kaitlyn says if she wins, she gets what she wants; and if he wins, she gets what she wants. Shawn laughs and agrees. Shawn is also very good and teeing off and driving the ball.

They enjoy playing a few holes, then Kaitlyn says she wants to play “Truth or Dare”. Shawn picks dare, and of course, she tells him he has to stream the golf course.

She says he can keep his socks on, and use his “little glove” to cover himself. (Well there goes his confidence.) She quickly says “Big! Big glove!” and he agrees to do it. While stripping down we see he’s wearing, what looks like, black running pants under his golf pants. That doesn’t look uncomfortable.

Ah yes, Shawn got his own “black box” and from what we could see, he looks pretty good naked. While he is making a putt, Kaitlyn steals his clothes and runs away. Well, better grab your little glove, Shawn.

During the “dinner” portion, (at this point, I am sure all the food is fake) Shawn shares he enjoyed laughing with her.

Kaitlyn starts off with the ol’, “I hate to bring this up, but…” and brings up Shawn’s hatred for Nick. Because this is what every guy wants to do on a relationship.

He shares that he talked to him, and is very honest about what he said. He finished by calling Nick a smooth talker. Then it’s Kaitlyn’s turn. She shares what Nick had to say about him, and Shawn gets REALLY fired up, and says Nick is delusional.

1-on-1 with the camera that she needs to know Shawn will be a loyal husband. Gee, that’s fresh coming from you, Kaitlyn. Back at their fake food dinner, Shawn says Nick acts like a 16 year old girl. “This really made a mess of things.” says Kaitlyn, almost like she had no idea it was going to happen.

She feels that it would be better to talk off camera. He reads “the card” and they decide to head right to the room. (Also, did anyone else notice that Chris Harrison’s hand writing changed?)

The next morning he leaves and it just doesn’t look like things went that great. Shawn looks as if he is on a war path. He walks outside and oh good, look who’s waiting, Nick. “What’s up, Shawn?” Oh Lordy, this isn’t going to end well.

Nick wants to talk to Shawn, but Shawn really isn’t having it; so Nick follows him inside anyway. Nick tries to throw around a bunch of accusations, but Shawn cuts him off. He tells Nick that of his name comes out his mouth again, it won’t end well. Nick quickly asks, “Are you threatening me?” (Settle down, Cornholio!)

Things get heated between the two, Shawn dominates the conversation, calling Nick a smooth talker. Shawn finishes it by telling him he doesn’t want to see him, and tells him to get the f*ck out.

Nick, to the camera continues making comments about how he thinks Shawn isn’t a man. He didn’t know he was Kaitlyn, and felt he was “bragging” about it, and that wasn’t “classy”. (Really Nick, because you didn’t tell the WHOLE group about your off camera time, give me a break.) Nick tries to sound like such a good guy, but just fails. Also, Nick, if you’re going to keep making comments about “how to be a man”, you might want to give your sister her pants back.

Rose Ceremomy Time!

Kaitlyn tries to start, but gets upset and leaves the room. She is starting to fall in love, and it’s breaking her heart. She doesn’t want right make the wrong choice. Once calmed down, she heads back into the room and starts again.

Nick, then Shawn, get the two roses. Ben will be going home.

Kaitlyn doesn’t know how to say goodbye to Ben. She tells him that he will find a great girl, and she is frustrated it isn’t here. He says it won’t be easy not to see her.

She heads back in, worried about the hatred between Shawn and Nick. She gives them hugs, and then leaves them with their champagne glasses. They mill around, really awkwardly for awhile, mess with their clothes, finish their required daily dose of alcohol, and….well…really?! Are they trapped in there?! Someone release them!

Oh my gosh, okay, now we move on to “Hometowns” or better yet “Everyone just go to this hotel, we’re doing it all here this year because we are way cutting back on our travel and just yeah…just go”.

Nick at least was released from the room in Ireland, darn. He shares with Kaitlyn that the best part of his day was talking to her (prior to the show). He has no reservations about her, and loves her.

His family, however, was very nervous about him coming on the show again. He had his heart broken during Andi’s season. A few of them tear up before Nick arrives with Kaitlyn.

His family is surprised that it is already down to two. Nick’s sister talks to Kaitlyn, shares her nervous feelings about it. Nick’s little sister asks Kaitlyn about Vancouver, then follows that by asking if she loves him. Kaitlyn says that she cares for him a lot.

While talking to Nick’s mom, Kaitlyn focuses on the conversations they have and for how “goofy” he is. Notice she never once says anything about the “physical” side of their relationship, that we have heard about all season.

Nick’s mom asks him to compare it to Andi’s season. He says he was over confident, and this time he is following his heart. He says that she is great at making out. (Oh, he’ll touch on the physical side, but really, just making out? Okay.) He does tear up talking about how happy he is with her; and his mom is so beautifully nervous for him.

The two head back to her room, both feel they had a great day, so they make out. Nick tells her he loves her. “Promise?” Kaitlyn asks, he says with all his heart. Nick then asks her if she wants babies someday, at least that’s what I think he says. Kaitlyn doesn’t question a life with Nick.

The next day it’s Shawn’s turn. He says that Kaitlyn HAS to get along with his family. They are excited that it is down to two.

Shawn’s sister wants to know how many serious relationships she has had, and talks about how exclusive Shawn is about having girls meet the family. Kaitlyn shares about their initial attraction. Shawn’s other sister wants to know about the other guy, and if she and Shawn have spoken of a future.

Shawn’s sister thinks Kaitlyn is nice, and that they have different personalities that they bring out in each other.

Shawn’s dad, well, he might feel different. He starts a conversation with him by starting with, “What the hell’s going on? This is nuts.” His Dad does ask if it has changed him, what makes her different. He barely gives him a chance to answer. Shawn, ugh Shawn, why did you do this? He tells his Dad about the off camera time in San Antonio when she told him he was the one.

Back in his room, Shawn tells Kaitlyn that he has something to get off his chest, and says he loves her. She kisses him. She tells the camera that it was overwhelming to hear. He says he was disappointed she didn’t say it back, but maybe she couldn’t.

Kaitlyn heads back to her room, and starts crying. She didn’t think the day was going to go so well, and now feels confused. Yet again hoping for something to go wrong so she can make the “easy” choice.

Oh man, how will this all end?

I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I am excited about next! MEN TELL ALL!!! Oooh yes! Finally!

Until then, be well all!!

Bachelorette Rundown

Here we go trying to scrape together what is left of this season.
Last week they decided to skip hometowns, for now, and have her get the group from 6 to 3, stay in Ireland and then do fantasy suite dates.

Jared, Ben, Shawn, Joe, and Nick are left. (Remember, she left Cupcake on a cliff last week.)

Ben will be getting the first date card of the night. They take a rowboat with a picnic basket in it, where Kaitlyn talks about her date with Chris (Cupcake), and that she is trying to find the guy that would feel like her husband.

They row to a private island and play hide ‘n seek. I’m pretty sure the only thing in the picnic basket is wine.

He asks what she looks for in husband material, and she focuses on kissing and physical attraction.

Later they end up at a restaurant where Ben toasts to more experiences. He also shares with her that due to a relationship in his past, he doesn’t feel lovable and doesn’t want to be rejected. Kaitlyn says he is a very lovable person and that she is falling in love with him. He says that he is falling in love with her too.

She asks him what his thoughts are on over nights. He says that over nights don’t have to be physical, and that he respects her enough to just want to talk all night.

“Are you a virgin?” Yes! She actually asked him this question! Hey, Kaitlyn, just because a guy doesn’t focus solely on the physical side of a relationship, doesn’t mean he isn’t experienced. (And no, Ben is not a virgin.)

On the group date is Shawn, Nick, & Joe.

Shawn gets time with him first, and they talk about starting to move things forward again. He wants to get back on track, so they start kissing. Kaitlyn knows that he has trust issues, and she needs to tell him about Nick.

Too bad that Nick walks up right at that point, and she isn’t able to tell him. They go off to have their 1-on-1 time, and he says that he felt good about her date. She says, “I’m a grown woman and I can do what I want.” Then says she doesn’t feel like she made a mistake. Even though if you go back to older episodes she says numerous times “I made a mistake.”

Joe finally gets his time with her and says that he is falling for her, and that he could kiss only her for the next 60 years. She doesn’t say anything…not awkward at all. She finally says that it was flattering, and that she is going to be brutally honest. She says that she doesn’t feel like they are on the same page, and that she can’t imagine saying goodbye to him. He’s clearly upset and just says that, it’s cool and it’s been fun. Kaitlyn asks for a hug, and he really doesn’t want to give her one. He does the “ass out” hug and walks away. Well, bye Joe.

She returns back to Nick and Shawn and tells them that she sent Joe home, and that she doesn’t want to hand out the rose. She also sends Nick back to the hotel and tells Shawn that she wants to see him more later.

Nick is feeling pretty let down not getting more time. Shawn is looking forward to relaxing evening. Well, you’re in for a surprise, buddy.

Kaitlyn and Shawn settle in, with alcohol, (I mean, yeah, they’re going to need it), and she struggles to find the words to share what happened with Nick. She finally gets it out, and Shawn is speechless for a moment. He asks if she regrets it, and she says she has guilt. He also wants to know why she is telling him now; she just feels that it was the right thing to do. Shawn steps away to regroup and think.

When he returns he says that he is going to man up and push through. He is there for her and that she is worth it. When Shawn returns to the house, he says that there wasn’t a rose, but that they had a great time.

Cocktail party time! Just kidding! Kaitlyn knows what she wants to do, is going to skip the party and jump right into the rose ceremony.

Shawn….he then asks to talk to her. He says that he had a hard time sleeping, and wants to know “why Nick”? She says that she is there to explore other relationships, and that telling Shawn that he was the one was a mistake. She likes his honesty, but needs to figure things out on her own, and that she doesn’t think he trusts her.

They go back in, and he accepts the rose.

Ben gets the next rose…wait what?

Nick gets the last rose. I threw my pen.
Kaitlyn will be sending Jared home. I was actually very surprised by this, maybe it was because of his beard? He was so kind to her, and offered his jacket to her when they went outside. She starts crying, and he says it is hard to say goodbye to her, and that he is going to miss her.

The next day starts the overnight, Fantasy Suite dates. Nick will get the first one. Blah.

They wander around and go into a cathedral, she’s starting to maybe see that she has more than just a physical connection with him. They then go into a pub for a drink, chat with some locals, and make a toast.
That evening, Kaitlyn and Nick settle in at an old jail to, well, not eat, we all know that. They start talking about the guys, and Nick says he doesn’t respect one guy. He goes on to make personal remarks (something about Eskimo brothers), then tries to just move on to another conversation. She stops him and he says that it is Shawn, and that all the guys in the house say he’s the front runner. From my stand point, this was really manipulative of him.

Kaitlyn hands him “the envelope”, and asks what he thinks after it’s read. He says he wants to wake up next to her, then promptly asks if she has the key. Little eager?!

She leads him to another part of the jail, and they open a cellar door to reveal two little mats on the group, in a damp little room. She finally tells him that it’s a joke. Nick says, “Alright, I can do this wherever.” Yeah, we bet you can.

Their real room is at the Fota Island Resort. He tells Kaitlyn that he is falling in love with her, more and more every moment.

The next morning, we see them eating! She says that they sat on the couch, ate chocolate and talked a lot.

Nick heads back to his room, and Shawn arrives. Shawn says that he doesn’t want to talk about Nick behind his back like the other guys. Shawn really lays into him, calls him “arrogant” and “manipulative”. Nick tries to call him the same. Shawn tells Nick that he is a shitty person. It looks like it is getting pretty heated.

We’ll see next week, how it all ends.

Bachelorette Recap – Ireland Part Two

Oooh man Bachelorette Fans! We had another exciting week full of, well of course – drama!

Here’s the run down of what happened Monday night.
We return back to Kaitlyn’s room where Shawn is looking for even more validation. He goes as far as asking Kaitlyn if she loves him. Too soon, Shawn. Too soon. He basically feels slighted because he didn’t get the group date rose; and that he’s having a hard time with everything.

Hey Shawn, you have watched this show, you should know what you signed up for.

Joe and JJ are on the two on one date. JJ feels that Joe isn’t a threat. Oh, okay. He toasts to Kaitlyn, with Joe there, saying he is falling for her. They all, yes, all clink glasses, and it goes silent.

Joe “steals” her away where he shares that the group date in San Antonio was a turning point for him. He says that he is really falling for her, and Kaitlyn doesn’t respond. She does tell the camera that she was blown away by him opening up the way he did.

JJ gets time with her, and shares that he cheated on his wife. He says it was a one time mistake and he just wants to be open and honest. Kaitlyn seems really receptive to him opening up about it. He felt at peace sharing with her.

Kaitlyn has a hard time picking which guy. (Really?! Joe is so great!!!) She feels that Joe hasn’t had enough time, and doesn’t see a future with JJ. She doesn’t immediately give Joe the rose, the two will spend more time together that day.

She says good-bye to JJ, and they leave him there on the cliff. (I wonder if he’s still there?) I mean, they really just kind of leave him behind and head off on a boat.

Kaitlyn is thankful for Joe opening up, and for not needing any additional validation. He gets the rose. (Yay!)

Joe returns back to the rest of the guys and Shawn looks bewildered. He’s so bewildered in fact that he decides to go see Kaitlyn…again. *groan*

Kaitlyn is exhausted, and starts crying when she finds out. She still thinks that it is still about Nick. I’m thinking, at this point, you’re so worried about it, just own up to it!!!

They chat, blah-blah. She’s thankful it isn’t about Nick. Oh good, way to be honest. She tells him that he is the only one that has needed reassurance, and that this is the process, there is no other way around it. He says that he is going to work on being better about it, and that staying is worth it.

Cocktail Party time!

She opens the evening saying that she had a hard week, but she is going to keep he heart open. This throws all the guys off, Shawn thinks it is because of him, and Nick thinks it is because of their…well…night together.

Ben Z. gets some time with her. Followed Ben H. he shares that after the off camera time he and Shawn had with her, Shawn was giving off a different vibe. He could tell that something was said to him that gave him a certain validation, and Ben wants to make sure that he isn’t just “spinning his wheels” being there. Kaitlyn says that her intentions with going to say hello to the guys was just supposed to be a sweet gesture and that it didn’t turn out the way she thought it would. (Basically the whole issue behind this “secret time” is that Shawn says Kaitlyn told him he was it.)

Nick is feeling really fearful that he has caused her rough week. She is really nervous that he is going to tell the guys about their “intimate time”. She says that their day and night was “perfect”, but doesn’t want him to go on about it. He feels that someone said something, and wants to know who, she says it doesn’t matter. (Because it doesn’t.) He gets rather defensive and says that he shared with the guys that their date was good and intimate. She basically cringes when he says that word. He says he wants to be there, starts crying, then they start kissing, and never actually finish their conversation.

Later she tells Shawn that she regrets sneaking down that night and that he just looked a bit “torn up”. So basically she just told him things to make him feel better, real nice. She tells him that they maybe need to take a step back to see if they can passed this “bump in the road”.

She keeps talking about owning up to mistakes and being honest; yet she won’t. She doesn’t think that Shawn can handle hearing what happened between her and Nick. Sooo…you’re just going to keep it from him?! That’s a great way to start a relationship.

Finally, Rose Ceremony time.

All of the guys look uneasy. Nick, Joe, and Jared already have roses from dates. (Although I think Nick got more than just a rose, if you know what I mean…okay I’ll stop.)

Roses go to Ben H, Chris, and Shawn.

Wait. What?! SHAWN?! Not Ben Z.?!?! Argh!! Poor Ben Z!!! He’ll do great on either Bachelor in Paradise (coming this August!) or as the next Bachelor, though.

The next morning the guys are getting on a bus to head to Killarney, and Kaitlyn shows up to say that a date starts now. She asks Jared to join her.

They road trip to Killarney Castle and get to kiss the Blarney Stone. Okay, I’m jealous, I want to do that!

The next morning she says that she feels like nothing can go wrong, so the producers say, “Send in Chris Harrison!”

They talk about the week, visiting families, and she talks about her mistakes. Chris says that they’ll switch the order of things, she’ll get the group down from 6 to 3. From there they will do fantasy room dates, then she’ll only meet 2 families. (Whoa!!)

Chris H. then tells the guys about the change and then leaves the date card. The guys are all quite shaken with this news. Chris “Cupcake” will get a 1-on-1 with Kaitlyn.

They take a helicopter ride to the Cliffs of Moher. They talk about various things for a bit and then she starts crying. She really likes him, but doesn’t want to lead him on. He was so kind about it, and it was hard for them to say good-bye. She leaves him there on the cliff (is he still there?!), and he breakdowns crying.

Next week we’re return back to Ireland to see who will go on the next dates, who will get a rose, and who will go home.

(Maybe we’ll also find out if JJ and Cupcake are still stuck out there?! Okay, I’m joking.)

Bachelorette Recap!

Alright! Finally! It’s time to get back to my rundowns of the Bachelorette after our family trip.
This post will cover last week’s episode. Then another post (hopefully later today) will cover this week’s awesomeness.

Okay here we go!
We returned back to the cocktail party, and Ian pontificating upon himself. He feels that all the guys are on a “vacation from life” and not taking it seriously. He tells Kaitlyn that he was hoping to “meet the girl who’s heart was broken by Chris. Not the girl who wanted to plow his field.” WHOA IAN!!! Not okay.

He blabbers on about how she just wants to make out with everyone, and says she is shallow. He ends up leaving, where he continues to say how great he is, because he went to an Ivy League college.

Hey Ian, news flash, just because you went to a nice school, doesn’t mean you’re a good person. Also, the fact that you said you needed to have sex as the car drove away only shows that you are the shallow, surface level person. Lastly, no one wants you to be the Bachelor.

Okay, back to the party, where we are all still feeling bad about Joshua’s hair.

Nick (groan) goes to comfort Kaitlyn first. The guys all still seem really frustrated with him. Shawn wants to have time with her, and walks in on them making out. #Awkward

The group heads to The Alamo for the Rose Ceremomy.

Jared (again with the facial hair?! I thought we talked about this!) Chris, JJ, Joe, Ben Z., and Tanner all get roses. (Shawn, Nick, and Ben H. already had roses.)

I felt bad for Joshua (not just because of his hair), he is a really good guy, and I am looking forward to watching him on Bachelor in Paradise. (Coming this August!)

The group then heads to Ireland, where we see the guys yelling “Hello Dublin!” from a bridge, you know, in case those around didn’t know where they were.

Kaitlyn joins the group at the hotel and says the first 1-on1 date starts at that moment, and invites Nick. We have another looooong silence and they head out.

Kaitlyn talks to the camera saying she has heard that Nick is one way in the house and another with her. She can’t go by what the guys say in the house. Yes, because with Clint it was a totally different story…she wasn’t strongly, physically attracted to him. This is lust.

They wander Ireland and it seems that all he can say about her, is that she’s “sexy”. She’s nervous about walking through the birds, then gets nearly attacked by some while having some 1-on-1 time with the camera, and she should have taken this as an omen.

They find some Irish Steppers and dance along with them, I was surprise to see that Nick could kick so high with those tight pants on. He then buys them matching Claddagh Rings. Kaitlyn says she feels instantly happy when he put it on her finger.

They basically can’t keep their hands off themselves the whole date, and head to a Cathedral for “dinner”. (Yet again we don’t see them actually eat.) Nick touches his mouth the entire time they talk, then they get back to kissing each other.

She invites him back to her hotel room. They keep it to the couch, but not for long. They head into her bedroom, and you know what happens. How awkward for the camera crew in there.

He leaves the next morning and the guilt sets in for her. She’s worried that he’s going to tell the other guys. She doesn’t want this to be an issue. Well, it’s going to be.

Nick tells the guys that they talked on her couch, but uses the word “intimate” a few times.

Tanner, Ben Z., Jared, Ben H., Chris, and Shawn head to the group date. They meet up with Chris H and he tells them that “Kaitlyn is dead…for today.” Okay, that’s not morbid. They are doing a mock Irish Wake and all the men are going to be speaking about her.

Shawn take a stab at Nick, he’s pretty funny. Ben Z asks the guys to leave the room. (Reminder, Ben lost his mom at a young age, so this probably wasn’t the best group date for him to be on.) He was very sweet about it, and said nice things; later he does tell her that it was hard for him, she she apologized for making him uncomfortable.

Later that evening, Jared gets the date rose, and they get to continue the evening alone, with a performance from The Cranberries.

The rest of the group all feel like they are going home. Uncertainty is starting to set in. Shawn walks away from the group and is talking to a crew member and says that he is just feeling unvalidated and isn’t sure he can do this anymore.

Later that night Shawn goes to Kaitlyn’s room (where she’s eating! Whoa!). She’s afraid that he knows about Nick and is worried that he is going to leave. She cries very hard because of this while doing her 1-on-1 with the camera.

Bachelorette – Another Round of Fun!

Ah yes, here we go, heading into another “dramatic” episode.

We left off last week during the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, and a very over confident Clint. He’s feeling like a big boy because he has his “power socks” on.

Kaitlyn is tired of hearing bad things from others in the house regarding him and is going to send him “down in flames”.

She tells him that she’s tired of “taking steps back”, and he disagrees, stating he is insecure. He also continues to talk just about JJ. I think he forgot that he was there to date Kaitlyn…

Kaitlyn tells him that she doesn’t trust him, at which point he actually says, “I can’t even.” I think I face planted into my couch at that point.

They head into the house so she can tell the guys she is sending him home. Where JJ turns the tides on Clint and snaps at him, in front of the group, and tells him he needs to apologize. (This is where we heard a loud, collective gasp through Bachelorette Nation.) Bromance, no more.

JJ tries to smooth it over with him after the fact, and is called a “piece of sh*t” as Clint leaves. I guess Clint isn’t a success story, and maybe needs a new pair of power socks; I think the ones he was wearing might be broken.

After his departure, JJ locks himself into a bathroom to cry. Then cries again during his camera time. He has to walk away and sobs into the bushes, stands up, slaps himself and whispers, “Son of a bitch, suck it up.”

At this point all the men want JJ to go. Kaitlyn, however, has decided not to have a rose ceremony. The group finds out they are traveling to New York City!

They arrive at the Knickerbocker Hotel, and pretty much run out to the balcony to yell as a group off it. (Newsflash, everyone knows you’re in New York!)

John, Justin, Ben Z., Corey, Ryan, Tanner, Shawn, and JJ will be on the group date, and while each guy got a little cheer/clap when their name was called. The room went silent for JJ. (Enter crickets here.)

The group arrives and are greeted by Kaitlyn and Doug E. Fresh, and find out they will be doing a rap battle. At least they won’t be physically battling again, this show has enough black eyes right now.

They go up against each other, and it’s pretty funny until JJ says “NYC hoes”, the room gives a collective sound of disapproval. (JJ, again, just stop talking.)

This is also where we see our first glimpse of Nick at the back of the room. We find out that he and Kaitlyn have been chatting via social media and have quite a connection. He didn’t like the thought that she could potentially get engaged without them meeting.

Then WHY NOT show up at the beginning of the show?! Go through the process like all the other guys did!!!

She is considering bringing him on the show, and tells the guys on the group date what she is thinking of doing. None of them look happy, understandable, it isn’t a good idea.

The men ask some good questions, and Shawn knows exactly who she is talking about. They feel she isn’t confident in the guys she already has there.

She leaves the party to meet Nick, they are very snugly and chat a little before they kiss. SERIOUSLY?! She feels that she has a genuine connection with Nick, but wants to sleep on the decision to bring him on. At this point, I’m wondering, if she knew back when they were chatting on social media that they had a “connection” why not meet up?! Why come on the show?

She’s creating some of her own drama at this time.

She does eventually head back into the party, and Justin gets the group date rose. When the guys head back to the hotel, they share the news and the mood is very heavy. No one likes this idea.

Jared will be going on a one-on-one date, but before they go Kaitlyn calls Nick and asks him to meet her after she gets her hair done.

This may have been the best part, she’s getting her hair styled by Ashley (you know, “The Mesa Verda”). She tells Kaitlyn that her feelings for Nick are lust, and I think we all actually agreed with her.

She meets Nick, and decides to keep him. Bad idea.

She gets ready for her date with Jared, and we have our first Neil Lane plug of the season. (Seriously, Neil, gorgeous designs and pieces!)

She and Jared are at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and enjoy an evening wandering the exhibits, and then have dinner. (At least dinner is sitting on the table, I don’t know if we saw them actually eat.)

Kaitlyn is having a hard time focusing on Jared because of her decision about Nick. They talk about it, and Jared says that he is confident about where they are at in getting to know each other. He gets the date rose, and they take get to take a helicopter tour passed the Statue of Liberty.

The following day she is second guessing her choices, and decides to go talk to the guys about it before the group date. They don’t look happy, and she makes a comment about not liking “how the room feels”. chose this, not them. Side note, Corey, I am loving the hotel slippers.

Ian, Chris, Joe, Joshua, and Ben H. are on the next group date where they will be getting to learn some of the steps from Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway! Joshua let’s out a good, “Oh dear God.” He’s my favorite.

They guys are trying so hard, and Joe looks so lost, but is having fun. This is one of the most entertaining dates I have seen. Until they find out that only one guy will stay, and the rest will go back to the hotel.

They “audition” by singing “A Whole New World” to her. Chris is chosen to stay, and they will have a part in the show that night.

The rest of the group isn’t happy, especially Joshua. He doesn’t have a hay bail to hit. Someone bring him a hay bail quick!!! He isn’t looking forward to going back to the hotel, “Nothing there but anger, loneliness, and dudes…and that new guy.” If I could shrink Joshua down to carry him around in my pocket, I would.

Chris and Kaitlyn get ready for their part in Aladdin. They walk on stage and hold some flowers. That’s it. So all that singing they did to “audition” meant nothing, just a good reason for them to embarrass themselves.

The two of them then walk through Time Square, and get to walk all the way up to the New Year’s Eve Ball. (This is ABC reminding us to watch New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.)

We then join Nick in a very cramped elevator heading to the room to move in with the guys. This isn’t going to be awkward at all.

“‘Sup guys?” he says as he enters the room.

In keeping with their running theme of cliffhangers, we’ll find out next week what happens, and who goes home at the Rose Ceremony.

Until then, have a great week!

Bachelorette – Next Round Of Dates

This week brought us the next installment of “Dude Bro Drama”, I mean the Bachelorette…

You know what comes next…Spoiler Alert!

Okay, we start off with Chris Harrison using his favorite word, “Dramatic.” Then join the guys back at the house where we left off last week waiting for the rose ceremony. Kupah has just been sent packing and is out front getting more and more agitated with the crew, and is pretty much yelling.

Kaitlyn goes out to confront him and again, and we see Kupah change this tone. He becomes very calm and tells her that he didn’t come on the show to go home. He says, “I won’t yell anymore.” and Kaitlyn goes back into the house. He then starts to speak in a very immature and mocking tone, “We’re gonna whisper now.” He also says that he doesn’t like her. That’s a quick turn around…moments ago she was “sexy” and “hot”. Whatever, he’s gone now.

We finally get to the rose ceremony!

The roses start getting handed out and we flash back and forth to Tony’s one on one with the camera talking about how the following things behind, “My job, my dog, my bonsai tree.” he also talks about how he “sees through the eyes of a child.” I just don’t think Tony is right for this setting…

Jared, Ben H, Shawn, Jonathan, Tanner, Chris, Ryan, Justin, Ian, Joshua, Joe, Corey, … and Tony. All get roses and will continue vying for Kaitlyn’s heart.

She is seen a little emotional after the ceremony questioning why it is hard already. Because it’s the Bachelorette. That’s why.

When we come back from the commercial, morning has arrived on the mansion and two sumo wrestlers arrive on bikes. They sneak into the guys room and start yelling and banging a gong. I’m pretty sure I would start throwing punches if someone woke me up that way.

JJ starts talking about how he loves Japanese culture, but can only name sushi; and I wish he would just stop talking.

Chris, Clint, Tony, Shawn, JJ, and Joe will be participating in this group date. (Oooh Tony…)

They are going to learn how to Sumo, because we learned nothing from the boxing date. Kaitlyn says, “Have a good time, I don’t want any drama.” *Facepalm*

The men participating in the group date join the rest of the house out front, in their “thong diapers” as they all call them, and it’s…slightly frightening. So much man butt, so much. The screen is basically a big blur.

On top of it, Joe’s left nut is joining the party. He just goes a long with it though.

The men are going to attempt to wrestle with Yama, who weighs 600lbs. “They are going to be picked up by their diapers, and bitch slapped to the ground.” Yep, yep they are.

It’s Tony’s turn and he tries hard, but loses. He doesn’t like this, and storms off. He doesn’t like the aggression and is “peaceful and loving.” Kaitlyn tries to talk to him and I just don’t think I can have a serious talk with a man in a diaper. JJ, of course, tries to butt in and Tony tells him to, “F*ck off.”

Kaitlyn tells him that he doesn’t have to participate if he doesn’t want too. Ian is trying to calm him down. Tony feels that he has a lot to offer, and I truly believe him. I just don’t think he’s right for this kind of setting.

The rest of the men will be participating in a Sumo Exhibition. In front of a crowd, because we know now that we learned nothing from the boxing date. They arrive on bikes and the crowd looks offended at their diapers. My husband quickly pipes up, “I hope Joe put his balls away.” Me too, me too. (Did they get a permit that allowed this much ass to be shown in public?)

The guys battle off and it goes a bit better than the boxing match. Clint is a bit aggressive and is later seen taking a selfie with a group of girls having them say, “Clint is a nightmare!” (Uhh…yeah.)

Back at the house Tony is wondering why they can’t just go to the zoo and mimic animal sounds. (My friend Lance, does an awesome goat noise.) He starts to pack his bag, saying that he can’t do this anymore, but he is no quitter. He finds Kaitlyn and tells her that he “can’t participate in this circus anymore.” Thanks her for her time, hugs her and says good-bye. I bet he’s looking forward to seeing his bonsai tree.

Back at the little cocktail party post-diaper fling, JJ comments on her tight pants. (JJ, I told you to stop talking.) Clint says that he is going to sit back and let her come to him. “Hopefully it’s a priority to talk to me.” Ugh…he can stop talking too.)

After some awkward silence, Shawn finally asks her for some talk time, where they kiss. Clint is getting frustrated because she went back to get the rose and didn’t talk to him. Moron. Shawn gets the group date rose.

Kaitlyn calls Clint out on it and he says (to the camera) that maybe she isn’t the right girl for him, but that he likes some of the guys he is getting to know in the house. Mainly JJ, “He is a sweetheart and a good dude.” Clearly he is seeing something we don’t; or maybe this is just a “birds of a feather” thing. (I’m probably right.)

The next morning we see a date card arrive to Kaitlyn and Ben Z at the house, it says, “Be prepared for anything.” and is from Chris Harrison. A limo then takes them to a questionable area and they enter a room where Chris is standing with dead animals around him. Geez, go dark on us Bachelorette. A sign says “The Basement – A Live Escape Room Experiment”. (I’ll be avoiding this place, thanks.) They have to go into a dark, super creepy room and find clues to escape. Nope nope nope nope.

Limbs hang from the ceiling, blood..and someone is in the bed. (Insert scream.) They go through and start finding clues and things they ae supposed to do, they had to kiss in the room, so romantic. Ben got freaked out at the big snakes in one room. They find their way out, and Chris Harrison, you are rude.

They go back to her house and she says that “The pizza is ordered.” Chances we’ll see it? Zero, but they of course have wine. Ben tries to say that he isn’t afraid of snakes. We all saw Ben, it’s okay, just admit it. He then shares his story about his mom passing away when he was young. I like that Ben opens up the way he does, he seems like a genuinely good person.

We see the pizza, but it is untouched. They are (shocker) in the hot tub drinking champagne. Ben gets the rose, and some smoochie-smoochie.

Group Date Card! Jonathan, Ben H, Joshua, Ryan, Jared and Tanner “Let’s learn to love.”

The guys will be teaching Sex Ed. to kids (whom we thankfully find out are child actors). I’m not sure if this is a better or worse decision than boxing? (Side thought, Jared, can we stop trying with the beard?)

The guys all have “lesson plans” to go over and teach to the class. Joshua is going through is box and Kaitlyn joins him, he pulls out a “feminine product” and calls it a “Tampn”. I laughed so hard I had to pause the show. This poor guy, he learned his sex ed from the cows. He then calls the string a “rip cord”. Joshua is amazing.

During his turn with the class he tells them that girls will have the lining of their uterus “shed…and die.” Ooh Joshua…so close. He then pulls the “tampn” out and refers to it as a torpedo. Wow.

Ben H totally wins this date by explaining “where babies come from”. He uses the right words, and says that there is an emotional, and physical connection. Uses Katilyn as the female example and the rest of the group seems impressed.

I think they are all happy when it is over. Ben H gets time with her and dips her in a kiss. Jared also gets time with her, they slow dance and kiss. Ben H gets the date rose, and Jared looks a little put off, but feels he doesn’t need the rose to validate their connection.

Back at the house, romance is blooming between Clint and JJ. They are talking about time they spend together and we actually see them eating. They both think they are too smart to be on the date (okay, we’ll let you think that), and they are practically cuddling on the couch. Pretty sure there was a comment about them in the shower. They sit in the hot tub and talk about turtles, and the shake hands. Later, Clint serenades JJ and they gaze into each others eyes. Clint does a one on one and says that he has fallen in love with JJ, and that he “is a success story.”

Finally, cocktail party time. Clint is saying that he just wants a rose for more time with JJ. He and Kaitlyn talk about why he was distant during the date, and he tries to say that he was insecure. He tells the camera that he was wearing his “power socks” really just needs a rose. We then see him telling JJ that he has a beautiful jawline. JJ responds that he was going to “make a derogatory remark and unzip his pants.” Clint says that isn’t going to happen…on camera. And again says he loves JJ.

Justin takes his chance and kisses Kaitlyn. Clint and JJ think they are good guys, but call themselves villans. (I don’t think they understand themselves.) Thankfully, some (basically all) of the other men start to give Kaitlyn a heads up about they, or at least Clint.

Clint was feeling really confident about getting a rose..then Kaitlyn pulls him aside. We see them walking away and we hear her one on one with the camera saying he is one of the biggest douche’s in Bachelorette history and is going to go down in flames.

Best of all though, Jared shaved his beard!

We’ll find out next week what happens at the end of the cocktail party. Will JJ and Clint have a lovers quarrel? Will Clint go home? I hope so!

Bachelorette – First Date Night

Last Monday I settled down to see what more fun the first night of date cards would bring to this season of The Bachelorette.

As always…spoiler alert!

The show opened up to Kaitlyn talking about how she was so happy to be “Waking up this morning as the Bachelorette.”

We hear her talking about this as she is getting out of bed in full make-up with nice hair. Yes gentlemen, we all wake up like this!

The guys all pile into the house and we get our token yell from the balcony, “HELLO KAITLYN!”

They split away from the house to check in on Britt, who is calling her Mom at the hotel, when Brady shows up. (Yes, I’ll come back to this as well…)

The first date card arrived and it’s a group date: Daniel, Justin, Jared, Corey, Tanner, Kupah, Ben H, and Ben Z. “I see this ending with a ring.”

They arrive, and oh good, they’re boxing today. (Does anyone else see this ending poorly?)

Lalia Ali is there to give the guys some tips and pointers, and she’s awesome. And pretty. And awesome.

The guys spar around with each other, have a good time, and then there’s Kupah. He is into to, and kind of forgets that Kaitlyn is there.

Ben Z & Kupah are doing high-five push-ups. #Bros

The guys find out that they are actually going to box each other. In a ring. In front of people.

(Again, does anyone else think this will end poorly? Because we all know how much men enjoy losing…in front of people, and oh yeah, on national television.)

Kaitlyn tells them not to hurt each other. (Maybe she’s questioning this choice?)

First Round:

Ben Z vs Daniel – Ben Z wins

Corey vs Justin – Corey wins

Ben H vs Jared – Jared wins

Kupah vs Tanner – Kupah wins (I mean, he did practice the most.)

Round Two:

Ben Z vs Corey – Ben Z wins

Jared vs Kupah – Jared wins (What?! Nice job Jared!)

Ben Z vs Jared

Both boys came out swinging, but Ben Z lands a good swing…and down goes Jared.

Kaitlyn gets really worried and says, “I didn’t want anyone to get hurt!”

Then don’t do boxing? (Just a thought.)

Jared goes to the hospital.

The rest of the group moves on to the cocktail part of the evening, where she moves on through some one on one conversations with the guys.

Ben Z shares that he lost his mom at 14. Another shares that he has a son. During her chat with the Fashion Designer, Daniel, she receives a note.

“Come down stairs right now. I need to see you.”

Jared is back, and is okay, so they kiss.

Back at the house another date card has arrived. Clint, who drew a picture of Chris Harrison riding a Triceratops*, will be going on the first one-on-one date.

(*I’m going to want a copy of this picture, Clint.)

The card says something about “taking her breath away”. Joshua says something about if it’s an underwater activity, “that’s drowning.” And I about fell off my couch laughing.

JJ is also starting to act quite a bit cocky.

Back at the group day, Ben Z receives the rose, and some lip wrestling.

The next day, Clint and Kaitlyn arrive at their date and will be doing an underwater photo shoot. (Did anyone else notice Clint rub the photographers back as they were heading to change? Yeah, I did.)

Back at the house Tony (the Healer) is going on about how he thinks the boxing date was a joke, and that “love is as perineal as the grass.”

Kaitlyn and Clint’s photo shoot starts off a bit awkward at first, understandable, it’s a first date. So they kiss, and get more comfortable. Alright. (I must say though, the pictures are looking really creative.)

At the mansion, the next date card arrives. Tony is talking about wanting to see if he and Kaitlyn can “co-exist”. The card: JJ, Jonathan, Joshua, Chris, Ian, Joe, and Tony, “A man who will stand up for me.”

JJ wants these guys to go home, and starts playing dirty. I don’t like JJ anymore. Jerk.

Tony seems to be in need of a little pep talk before he embarks on this date. He wonders if she is supportive, then calls her Britt…not Kaitlyn.

Clint seems very sweet and kind during the dinner portion of their date. (I’m pretty sure this is the only time we see them eat on this show.) he gets the rose, and the smooch again.

The next day the group arrives at an Improv Comedy to have Amy Schumer waiting with Kaitlyn. They are doing stand up comedy, yes, this is already better than boxing.

Amy asks them to tell some jokes, and JJ’s is so bad I won’t repeat it. He is seen later saying that his pickup line is, “Divorced, with a kid, living with his parents.” He also thinks he is smarter than 90% of the audience.

Just. No. Thankfully Amy tells him this, and calls him a turd. (Yay Amy!)

Time for the stand up to begin!

Ian makes a Juan Pablo joke. Eesokay.

Chris says that he is so nervous, and unbuttons his shirt.

Tony just goes on…and on…about how he feels thankful to be on stage, and thankful to be enjoying the lighter side of his life. Then leaves the stage. Not kidding. (And that was the “cliff notes” version.)

JJ makes fun of Tony. Of course. Turd.

They are finally done and moving on from that, thankfully it went pretty well.

Joshua talks about how he has never been in love, then talks about his English Bulldog farting and drooling. I like Joshua.

The guys seem to be getting tired of Tony and his random ramblings. Tony tells Kaitlyn that he is opening himself to Kaitlyn while keeping himself aware of the signs the universe presents. He thinks they have made a connection he has been craving…then goes on about a door with a combination and gold behind it.

JJ is a different person with Kaitlyn. He talks about his child, and kisses her. My dog actually growled when this happened.  Even he doesn’t like him. JJ is VERY confident that he is getting the date rose.

Joe takes her outside…to make out.

Dang it…JJ did get those rose. He acts all “surprised” and “humble”, then like a total turd to the camera.

Okay…finally…Cocktail Party time!

Aaannnddd we have to deal with JJ. He won’t “let off the throttle”, and immediately takes her aside, even though he has a rose. The men confront him and let him know that wasn’t okay.

Ian gets time with her and shares his story, then kisses her.

Tony is getting really upset about some of the stuff going on, and says f*ck! (You guys, he said it, he really said that word!)

JJ is proud to be the “villain” and is laughing at them being offended. “Now I can hit the bar early.” Tony is really mad and isn’t enjoying the disrespect.

Kupah is feeling nervous about going home, and feels he doesn’t have a connection. His conversation with Kaitlyn goes on and on, and he kind of doesn’t make sense, and doesn’t make a great case for himself. He kind of just wouldn’t stop talking, and says some very odd things. (Like that he is dedicated to the process of being there. Umm…what?) She says that she just needs to think about it, and they end with a fist bump. (No, I’m not making this up.)

He heads out to the guys and talks, loudly, about their conversation. Kaitlyn hears, pulls him aside and tells him to go. He actually tells her that it’s “pretty sh*tty” and says that he isn’t leaving. Tells her that she is “hot” and “sexy”, and won’t go.

Yeah, he went…not quietly though. He is in front of the mansion getting angry and not speaking nicely to the cameramen and other workers of the show. Kaitlyn over hears this as well, and we’ll find out this coming Monday how this all ends.

We finish the episode joining back with Britt and Brady who have been having a great time together, and decide to date. So really, this is quite working out for her for not being picked to be the Bachelorette.

Good for you, Britt!
