Gracias, Merci and Other Better Ways to Say ‘Thank You’

Thank you. These are two little words that we hear uttered over and over again. And like anything that you become too used to, the words will start to lose all meaning. Sometimes, you want a better way of expressing your thanks that truly encapsulates your gratitude for an act of kindness that someone has done for you. In this blog post, we are going to be talking about a few more effective ways that you can express your thanks to people. This way, you are better able to show people when they have done something that really matters to you.

Use Words like ‘Appreciate’ and ‘Grateful’

There is no doubt that the phrase ‘thank you’ is overused, so you can instead use some other words that better express how you are feeling. Telling someone ‘I really appreciate it’ or ‘I am so grateful for what you did’ instantly has a much stronger meaning, and helps to convey to them that they have done so much to help you out. It may be simple, but just using some words other than ‘thank you’ can make all the difference.

Explain How They Helped You

Rather than just expressing your thanks and going no further, you can show people that you appreciate what they have done by explaining exactly how it has made a difference to you. It could be something as simple as expressing to a work colleague how busy you have been, and how pleased you are that they were able to take something off your plate. The other advantage of properly expressing your gratitude is that people are much more likely to help you out when you find yourself in a similar situation in the future.

Tell Them You Will Repay Them

People can tell that you are truly grateful when you make an offer to repay them for their kindness. Use a phrase like ‘how can I repay you?’ to do this. A lot of the time, people will respond that there is nothing that you need to do, but you can really go above and beyond by offering to do something for them anyway. Even if it is only a small gesture, people still appreciate that you have acknowledged what you have done for them.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

The old adage in the title is one that you will have heard a million times before, but that doesn’t make it any less true. So, if you have been to an event that they have organised, you could send them a personalised thank you note from Giftsin24. The simplest way of expressing your thanks is by offering a reciprocal gesture.

These are just a few of the ways that you can go above and beyond when you are saying thank you. Expressing your gratitude is a great way to build on a relationship with someone, and it is also something which is very straightforward to do.

Leopard On A Mission – Week Three

It’s mission day!! How did the first two weeks go for you? I hope you are finding a little more positivity in your life, while adding some light to other people’s lives.

This week’s mission is easy, write at least one letter. Not an email or text, but an actual letter. Bonus points if you write multiple letters! Thank a friend for the help they gave you, say hello to a Grandparent, tell a family member you love them.

Mail it, or hand deliver! Think of the recipient’s face when they receive such a heartfelt message.

I can’t wait to hear how this week goes, don’t forget to use the hashtag: #LeopardOnAMission on social media so others can see the kindness you are spreading!

Christmas Eve!

I can’t believe Christmas Eve is already here! I hope that you all have wonderful plans with family and friends.

This Holiday season, I just want to say how thankful I am for every person who follows me on any of my accounts, and engages with me website/pages.

You all mean so much to me! If you haven’t yet came across my Facebook page, I would be so grateful if you joined me there.
If you already “Like” it, thank you! Please feel free to share it with anyone whom you think might enjoy it as well.

Have a wonderful and safe season.

Happy Holidays!

Thank you to all who are supporting me on this fun ride! Thank you for liking my Facebook page, as well as for following my Twitter and Instagram accounts!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

May your holiday season be blessed and full of happiness. I am looking forward to posting a lot of great things through the season.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thank you all again!

Thank You

I have had a very busy week, and am struggling to find time to sit down to get some articles written and posted. (I know, I hear Gary Vaynerchuk in my head saying “Audit yourself!”) Be patient all! Good things are coming. More outfits, recipes, etc.

I wanted to take this chance to say thank you to all those who have supported me, shared my posts, left comments, retweeted articles, liked pictures, and have been inspired.

Branding yourself and “spreading the word” is hard work. I have such a great group of friends and supporters who check into my site and follow along with what’s going on. I am SO thankful!

I’m so appreciative for those who know and understand what I am trying to do. I am simply trying to share bits and pieces of what I find interesting in the world with others. I want to inspire people with fashion and food, I want to connect with other creative people, and act as a platform for others who have something fun or creative to share.

I’m grateful for the patience I am being given as I work with adjusting my schedule and work on giving more time to myself so I can get more posts up on a regular basis.

Please keep sharing my Facebook page, retweeting those tweets and liking/commenting on Instagram. And of course, if you have anything you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to contact me!

Thank you to all of my supporters!

To My Stylist – And Her Supporters

Dear Kelsey,

I had no idea when I first found you to babysit my daughter, that our relationship would grow to where it is now. I am so thankful we have met, and that I came to you to get my hair done.

I arrived at Posh International Hair Studio on Tuesday morning with my blonde hair and said, “I want to be a redhead!” You said, “Okay!!”

Though I’m not sure either of us knew the journey we were about to embark on.

You colored, you washed, you cut, you styled. Then you did, what I think, was the most important thing; you told “Call me if you don’t like it, CALL ME if something is wrong.” and you MEANT it.

You turned my chair around and I felt like Black Widow straight out of the Avengers, and I loved it! I left the salon feeling like a new woman, you snapped some pics, it was great.

Then, the next morning I washed it…

Oooh dang it! It turned brown! Ugh, curse my blonde hair (and my wild idea to be a redhead…)

What is Kelsey going to say?! Is this fixable?! What’s going to happen to my hair?!

I contacted you and you answered my questions. Yes it is fixable, and no it won’t fry your hair. You said, “We WILL get you where you need to be. No worries!” (Okay, I tried not to worry, by my anxiety usually has other plans for me. Still, I knew I was in great hands.)

I arrived the next morning and you had a PLAN. You pulled other stylists in for their opinion, which is a sign of a great stylist. Allison, Susan, and Jeff all jumped in, positive, supportive and ready to help.

You and I endured the smelly, color removing wash, and I got to be a cartoon character for a bit! (That was a good laugh we had.)

You never once faltered, you were confident the whole time. When the color we picked was no longer available (I mean, just our luck, right?) you again asked Susan’s recommendation on what you were thinking of doing, and she agreed.

You got that color on, gave me a wonderful deep conditioning treatment, and my hair came out beautiful!! I am in love with the color, and it is just what were going for!

I am so thankful for your dedicated, hard work. You are confident, professional, and a joy to be around.

I am also very thankful to Susan, Allison, and Jeff for not only being positive, kind and encouraging to us both; but most importantly for being supportive and helping guide you! As I said, asking for help is a sign of a great stylist. Happily giving help, being polite and supportive while doing it, is another sign of a great stylist. Those are the ones who not only want the best for the client, but also want the other stylists involved to learn, and grow.

They are good people, Kelsey, and they will help you continue to grow beautifully in your profession.

I am so thankful I not only picked you to care for my daughter, but also to be my stylist. I truly feel like I have gained a friend as well.

I am already looking forward to the next time I come to Posh, as I know my hair is in good hands! I hope you’re ready to see me often, because I’m sticking with being a redhead! Plus, I’m going to need you to curl my hair for events, we both know you do it better!

All My Best,
